    • Dutch Palace in Mattancherry is an ancient historical building, which was again built by the Portuguese, and presented as a gift to Vira Kerala Verma- the ruler of the place at the time.
    • Mararikulum Shiva Temple, gained popularity for its dedication to the Hindu Gods, Parvathi and Shiva, and is popular for its architectural grandeur.

Best Time To Visit Marari Beach

The beach has a humid and hot climate all throughout the year. Late October to December during the winter, and between June to July during the summer, the beach receives a heavy downpour; so it is advised that you do not plan your visit to the beach at the time. The best or ideal time to visit the beach is between late December and March; during this time the weather is pleasant and dry. Late March onwards, the beach may get unbearably sultry and hot.

How To Reach Marari Beach

The beach is almost 16 kms away from the town of Alappuzha, and can be reached in private cabs or auto-rickshaws. Alternatively, you could even travel in one of the state-run buses. The nearest railway station is in Marari, which is 5 kms away from the beach.
